            <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>1:00am HST - Emergency maintenance to the network infrastructure has been completed and all services have been restored.</p>
<p>8:20pm HST - Our Internet Service Provider has identified the problem with their network infrastructure. They are now performing emergency maintenance to address the issue and it is estimated that it will take 1-3 hours to complete. We will provide more updates as the maintenance work progresses.</p>
<p>6:00pm HST -  we received reports that Internet connection to our data center became unresponsive, causing service interruption to on-campus Internet access, as well as off-campus access to virtual desktops via cloud.hpu.edu and other on-campus resources. Our technicians are assessing the situation and working with our Internet Service Provider to troubleshoot the issues.</p>

<p>03/13 05:40 - VDI access is gradually being restored. Currently Desktop Pro and Desktop Lite are available from both on-campus and off-campus.</p>
<p>03/12 02:53 - The majority of the systems and services have been brought back online. Our technicians will perform a thorough system check and continue to work on the remaining services on Sunday. Currently both wired and WiFi connectivity at all locations have been re-established, and all services except the following are functional.</p>

<p>03/11 16:09 - Network connectivity issues have been identified and the links from the new data center to Aloha Tower Marketplace and Pioneer Plaza have been established. Technicians are en route to other campus locations (Waterfront Plaza, Hawaii Loa Campus and Oceanic Institute) to make similar fixes. Meanwhile, other technicians are in the process of starting up on prem critical services. Currently Internet and WiFi access on campus is still unavailable.</p>
<p>03/10 17:46 - The networking configuration is taking longer than expected. Although all equipment has been moved over, the network at the new facility is still being worked on.</p>
<p>03/10 07:40 - Technicians are still working on installing equipment at the new data center.</p>
<p>03/10 02:22 - All servers and network equipment have been turned off and most of them have been transported to the new facility. They are currently being set up..</p>
<p>03/09 20:24 - We are at the final stage of shutting all equipment at the current data center.</p>
<p>03/09 15:20 - HPU's Data Center will be relocated to a different facility starting 3/9 at 6pm HST. We expect majority of the services to come back online by 3/10 6pm HST, and all services restored by 3/12 11pm HST. <li>12:30pm Hawaiian Telcom technicians have restored network connectivity to our data center, and are actively monitoring the status of the network. While the HPU network and various services are currently functional, they may become unavailable intermittently while adjustments are made to the network and other affected customers being brought back online.
We will provide another update once our network is fully restored and operational. Thanks you very much for your patience and understanding.</li>

<li>11:00am Technicians from our ISP Hawaiian Telcom are on-site at our data center to further troubleshoot network connectivity issues. They have confirmed the problem to be a network routing issue. Currently there is no ETA of when services will be fully restored but we will send another update once we have more information.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this network outage has caused.</li>

<li>8:15am Our Internet Service Provider, Hawaiian Telcom, is experiencing network problems and is currently working on restoring services to Oahu customers including HPU. Internet and network services may work intermittently but they have not been fully restored yet. We will send out more updates as they become available.</li>

<li>7:15am The network interruption is caused by a connectivity issue with one of our Internet Service Providers. Technicians are working with the ISP to get the problem resolved ASAP. On-campus users can still connect to local resources such as VDIs, printing and network shares. However, the Internet and services requiring authentications through the Single Sign-On (my.hpu.edu) remain unavailable.</li>

<li>1210pm: Vendor has restored service to my.hpu.edu login system and apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.</li>
<li>1100: No new update from our vendor. However, ITS is slowly seeing recovery to my.hpu.edu login system and a few users have been able to login successfully after waiting for the login page to load (an upmost waiting 5 minutes until Aloha Tower pages loads).</li>
<li>1000: Vendor is working on an alternative plan to restore services</li>
<li>0900: Our vendor has identified the issue and is working on restoring service. There is current no ETA of when services will be restored</li>
<li>As of 0745 today we are currently experiencing an outage with trying to reach my.hpu.edu system. Any system that depends on the my.hpu.edu login system will be meet with an error message.</li>

<p>User Impact: Users may be unable to access multiple Microsoft 365 services.</p>
<p>More info: Existing sessions do not appear to be affected. Affected users are encouraged to keep existing sessions going and to avoid re-authenticating to Microsoft 365 services.</p>
<p>Any Microsoft 365 service that leverages Azure Active Directory (AAD) authentication may be impacted by this issue.</p>
<p>Current status: We've identified and are reverting a recent change to the service which may be causing or contributing to impact.</p>
<p>Scope of impact: Any user may experience access problems for Microsoft 365 services.</p>

<li>3:59pm https://hpu.blackboard.com is showing a message &quot;Scheduled Maintenance in Progress&quot;. and does not allow user to log on. This is a generic message indicating that the service is unavailable, and we have not scheduled any maintenance work at this time. We are currently contacting Blackboard to find out the cause of the outage, and an ETA on when the service will be restored.</li>
<li>4:19pm The Blackboard database is currently unavailable, and the Blackboard Managed Hosting Team is working on restoring it. There is no ETA at this time.</li>
<li>4:30pm The Blackboard Managed Hosting team has restored all Blackboard services.</li>

            <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>At approximately 3:00pm today Thursday 3/30/2017 we experienced network connectivity issues that affected all of our users in the UB building (Finance Factors). Phones, computers, and all wireless devices were unable to connect to the network. We coordinated the effort with our vendor and discovered that the cause was isolated to the roof top of UB. All services were brought back to normal by 4:37pm.</p>

            <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>An electrical brown out occurred at 12:30pm in the UB building, causing a network switch to stop responding.
The affected network equipment was connected to a faulty UPS, and did not come back up after the blip.
Engineers were dispatched to reroute power to the switch, and services were restored at 1pm.</p>
