General Network Services Network Outage
  • 12:30pm Hawaiian Telcom technicians have restored network connectivity to our data center, and are actively monitoring the status of the network. While the HPU network and various services are currently functional, they may become unavailable intermittently while adjustments are made to the network and other affected customers being brought back online. We will provide another update once our network is fully restored and operational. Thanks you very much for your patience and understanding.
  • 11:00am Technicians from our ISP Hawaiian Telcom are on-site at our data center to further troubleshoot network connectivity issues. They have confirmed the problem to be a network routing issue. Currently there is no ETA of when services will be fully restored but we will send another update once we have more information. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this network outage has caused.
  • 8:15am Our Internet Service Provider, Hawaiian Telcom, is experiencing network problems and is currently working on restoring services to Oahu customers including HPU. Internet and network services may work intermittently but they have not been fully restored yet. We will send out more updates as they become available.
  • 7:15am The network interruption is caused by a connectivity issue with one of our Internet Service Providers. Technicians are working with the ISP to get the problem resolved ASAP. On-campus users can still connect to local resources such as VDIs, printing and network shares. However, the Internet and services requiring authentications through the Single Sign-On (my.hpu.edu) remain unavailable.
  • 6:25am The network team is still investigating the cause of the issue and we will send another update by 7:00am. Besides general Internet connectivity, this outage is also affecting services such as MyHPU, Blackboard.
  • 2:00am Network interruption occurred, affecting off-campus users accessing HPU services, as well as on-campus users accessing the Internet

MyHPU Portal my.hpu.edu login outage
  • 1210pm: Vendor has restored service to my.hpu.edu login system and apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.
  • 1100: No new update from our vendor. However, ITS is slowly seeing recovery to my.hpu.edu login system and a few users have been able to login successfully after waiting for the login page to load (an upmost waiting 5 minutes until Aloha Tower pages loads).
  • 1000: Vendor is working on an alternative plan to restore services
  • 0900: Our vendor has identified the issue and is working on restoring service. There is current no ETA of when services will be restored
  • As of 0745 today we are currently experiencing an outage with trying to reach my.hpu.edu system. Any system that depends on the my.hpu.edu login system will be meet with an error message.
